Maybe this new track deserves a thread dedicated to it:
A nice, catchy, laid-back track in my opinion.

Sounds like The Who !!! Some of the backing vocals sound a bit like "Psychoderelict". Great guitar, powerful drums, very strong vocals, maybe slightly anonymous bass. But I think it's very strong after 2 listens.

For me, it sounds too 80s!! Like a song for Face Dances or It's hard. Not the song for 2014

Rog sounds great Pete gets to bash out an A chord a couple of times and play some very Tommy-sounding guitar Zak plays a couple of licks worthy of Keith Pino plays his JAE best the mix and production sound real good kind of a fun sounding tune, not exactly an anthem, tho
All-in-all, pretty dang good ..... based on this effort, I'd certainly want to hear more .... ymmv
kc now kc2 after computer upgrade

Love it! Very Face Dances style, it's as if they never stopped after It's Hard. Great chords and Roger sounds great

Not for me this one, certainly sounds like something that wouldn't have made it on to face dances

Fantastic , the band sound on top form and Rog and Pete back to the old days sound big time with some welcomed back aggression . The Wilko collaboration has worked a treat on Rog and definitely rubbed off on Pete . Very impressed , love all the back references and effects . The only thing I'm not a fan of is the 'be lucky ' chorus think it works better later in the song though . Heard it back to back 4 times at 6am for the first time and blown away , and that is the power of this band still doing it .

The sound and performance are really good! The song is kind of average imo but not bad. Overall, great to hear a new from the boys, I hope there will be a whole album next year.

sounds like something PT could write easily..... almost Who by numbers.... (not the album, just Who doing a Who-sound)
but i like it... it's not embarrassing which is always a risk when older bands try do new stuff
i'd def love to hear it in the context of a new album or other songs, but seems like it'll just live on the end of the Who 50 album
backing vocals reminds me of some of Pete's solo stuff

Ya..its a cool tune. I think the stuff coming out in the Spring will go back in the harder edge direction.

It's cool to finally hear some of the results from the recording sessions. The more I play it, the more I like it. It feels more like a 'band effort', compared to the 'Endless Wire'-stuff. It *sounds* good too.
But could it be this is an edited radio version? It seems like a strange edit around 00'21 - 00'22..

Its ok on first couple of hearings, backing vocals `be lucky` are a bit annoying`wish zak would get a more ballsy heavy sounding drum sound, live too deffo seems like its off face dances, a bit like the bonus track `its in you`, no doubt it will grow on me. oh for the power chords days! ;-)

After repeated listenings, I'm sold. I'm no music expert, but when I hear an enjoyable new song from my favorite band, I'm a happy camper. There's a bit of some old who magic in this, mixed with some new. Pretty damn cooooool!

Not bad says I. Big big difference in sound, gives a hint of what can be achieved when properly produced!!

And I like the little "vocoder" bits here and there, but not the ones that appear to be sung by a woman. When Roger uses the vocoder, I like it.
