Tommy & Quadrophenia Live With Special Guests I have had this DVD in my collection for quite a while now, yet I still do not know what the date or location is for the Quadrophenia portion of the DVD. There is also a bonus disc with an encore set after a show on the same tour (96-97) which i also do not know the date and location of. I believe the encore section is from 1997 but I am not 100% sure.
This is driving me mad as i can not seem to find this out anywhere on the internet. The dates and locations are not on the box or in the book. any help would be great, Thank you

The Quadrophenia set is mainly from Dayton, Ohio ( 4 November 1996) with Gary Glitter edited out and PJ Proby footage in from another show (plus few other short bits). The encore seems to be from two different shows: judging by the clothes, Behind Blue Eyes and Who Are You are from Dayton as well, but the source of the other I'd be very curious to find out as well. Here's few clips from the unedited Dayton bootleg:

Glad to help I think the details of the show on the box are so ambiguous cause they had to edit Gary Glitter off, for obvious reasons. However, since concert isn't purpose filmed for a release, but from a feed for video screens at the arena, I wonder why they didn't use some other show with PJ Proby as the Godfather.

Just typical of the who. They would have filmed 100's of shows that's just sitting in Petes archives over the years. But they choose this one that needs to be edited all around. They should have just used the one they edited pj from. I'm sure they have plenty of 73 shows to choose from for this DVD set. For example there is footage from a gig in Manchester from 73 on the BBC Quadrophenia. Would have been great to use that instead for the DVD. With the Tommy part also being from like the Woodstock gig or Tanglewood. As we only see small parts of these gig remastered. As you know they would have the whole shows
