Given the nature of that website a brief explanation of the topic relevance may have been appropriate. It's a coin-toss for me as to whether or not your post counts as spam. But I've just eaten a choc-ice, so I'm in a good mood and giving you the benefit of the doubt.
For those who haven't yet clicked the link, it's a "new age" style site with no mention of Pete Townshend anywhere on the linked page.
The page does however feature a video titled "Have The Same Famous Musicians Been Continually Reincarnating?", which I can only assume may contain the aforementioned Townshend element. However, I can't be arsed to watch it to find out. If though it sounds like your kinda thing, go for it....

Thanks, I think it's pretty interesting, and think you made the right decision, why would it be spam to notice that icons in classical music have so many simiarities with icons in pop and rock. I think it calls for a serious debate, if it all could be just coincidences, or what? Talking about new age, Townshend wouldn't have written The Who's biggest breakthrough Tommy, without new age ideas and Meher Babas teachings. Beautiful song about reincarnation from Townshend: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l98Kw8d4Uk8

why would it be spam to notice that icons in classical music have so many simiarities with icons in pop and rock. That's not spam. Your post appeared to be spam because I followed the link and saw nothing whatsoever related to the topic in question. The name "Pete Townshend" was nowhere to be seen on the page. Now, I'm not going to start clicking links or watching videos on a website simply on the off-chance that I may hit some claimed, yet undescribed and untitled Townshend content, and I'm sure other members here would feel the same. It never ceases to amaze me how so many people online in the process of attempting to disseminate information forget the cardinal rule of basic communication; give your desired audience a clue as to what you're pointing them toward. Sorry if I come across as sounding a little terse, but that's one of my pet hates, along with spam. I haven't yet watched the video, but as regards the reincarnation angle, how would that tie in with the concept of Karma, the pair often being strongly linked? Even the works of Meher Baba reference Karma. If we take Karma into account, surely by default Rock musicians who have existed in a hedonistic bubble are some of the most unlikely personalities to be debt free if reincarnated? Combine their selfish and self-destructive hedonism with the potentially negative consequences of their influence upon an immeasurable number of fans, and you have a recipe for Karmic payback which will take a multitude of lifetimes to recoup. Within that context I don't consider it likely that the average Rock star would be reincaranted into the same such privilege any time soon. If however we remove the aspect of Karma from the condition of reincarnation, I could understand how people who operated at a high level in their chosen trade in one lifetime could end up repeating the same in the next, or at the very least having increased chances of doing so. But can we remove Karma from the equation? Therin lies the question. I would think that if reincarnation exists it must be by design rather than accident. Therefore would it not then be a pointless concept to have undergone design if previous lives were deemed to hold zero relevance to current or forthcoming personal existances? Anyway! That's enough of that from me for now. Time to go and eat some cornflakes.
