Kinda leaves the who are you album which only has trick of the light which really doesn’t fit with the description. Unless the review is totally wrong
Let’s go slip kid since it was almost a year after the album....

No....this one was released just a couple of months after the album.
A probably useless clue: despite the talk of "triumph" from the reviewer, the album from which this single was taken ultimately charted lower than the band's previous album.

Behind Blue Eyes?

Nope....it's not the somewhat bleak Behind Blue Eyes. Think of something a bit more summery.

How about 5:15?

Whoireland's slipping out of the race and Ipow's slipping in as a new entry.....but unfortunately it's not 5:15!
With this review it looks like we could be here until the season changes. So to stop anyone else getting the blues I'll announce the title tomorrow....unless of course we have a winner by then.

Aha...so subtle that I failed to spot your hint. That'll teach you to be shifty. Which means, we have a winner. Which means another free lifetime membership to the forum for Whoireland! Review Number 7 was of course.... SUMMERTIME BLUES Reviewed July 1970The next one will be a lot simpler....

OK pop-pickers...
Review Number 8
Danceable beat ballad with a set of Mod lyrics. Smoothly performed and very interesting. But the flip is stronger.

Right. Let's try something a little more challenging...hopefully.
From a reviewer who uses "..." even more than I do...
Review Number 9
There's a pounded one-note repetition with the instrumental build-up really building...and Roger roaring, and you're instantly aware that you're in the middle, stereophonically, of a Pete Townshend happening...gloomy-doomy in a sense, inspirational in another, and never boring. There's the usual Who-power thundering, some guitar work of breathtaking vitality...all in all, it adds up to...CHART CERT.

But unfortunately not the right candidate for the job!
I think the first line of the review may be throwing y'all. The described element does exist within the song but it's not something which generally tends to be pulled up as a "recognition factor", probably because the hook is far more prominent....
And one more useless clue; this "CHART CERT" barely scraped into the UK Top 20.

Review Number 10
One of the most stylish British groups, pungently presented on a fastish beater with some first-rate vocal ideas. They have a good "feel" for a song, with a good beat. Might do very well.

One clue: This "Might do very well" single actually did very well, becoming the band's first Top 10 hit.
