This is pretty amazing to me: this one and other bands have recorded their alternative version of Sell Out. Very cool to hear more contemporary, freshly recorded takes on these songs. If you look further on YTt you'll find a playlist to which they're gradually adding all the songs of their (expanded) version of Sell Out. It seems they're having a hard time getting noticed, so if you like it, pass it on! A link to the 11-song (for now) playlist: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y35pCJqKZ1A&feature=bf_prev&list=PL8050DB5FA71D81B4&lf=plcp&context=C335b67eFDOEgsToPDskLI7hlwQRI7c68MxXicxyBmI'm not associated with these people if you're wondering, I just happened to stumble upon this today.

This is great stuff! "Glow Girl" is awesome, with an extended coda.

The Sparks from Woodstock is nice, but the letters on the screen ruin it. And why is music from another artist being talked about on this site? It should be on another post. I really hate people copying someone else's music and bragging about it, and then someone else advertising where to see or hear it. Who cares really. The people doing the Who's music should be doing their own stuff if they are so good don't you think? Just saying.

Disagree on the rest, though. You hate The Who for Summertime Blues too?

I just think it's fascinating and very complimentary of Sell Out that people would do such a sophisticated tribute to it. Listening to the songs like this makes me rediscover and reappreciate them.

I don't mind if you open a new topic about "The New Sell Out". You can do so in the section "Who's Playing Who".

anyone seen the 8 part live feed of roger and john doing interviews? Most of it is boring but there are some funny parts with them talking between themselves and john's bored expressions and body language.

I'm sure this has already been posted somewhere here, but I can't find it. This is speculation on what would have made up a 1968 Who album "Who's For Tennis?" which never was released. I can't believe a double album of Who tunes was ever seriously considered in '68 though, they really didn't have the stature as a band to do that......yet. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhR9uT7Xn14&feature=related
