Hi all.
Thought I'd post this again in this forum, as I'm interested in your replies.
Pete's hearing loss is well documented, and I note on a Phil Collins interview posted at the old board that he has been advised not to tour due to hearing loss. Are there any oher significant cases of hearing loss reported among other well known artists?
Thanks!

Jon Sevink of The Levellers is deaf in his left ear (because of the violin) Paul Stanley has always been deaf in one of his ears. That ear was also misshapen, so he used to wear his hair long to cover that ear. In the nineties, he had his ear re-shaped (by plastic surgery) Paul: " Yes, I’m deaf in one ear. Since I’ve been that way from birth, I don’t know what I’m missing, so for me everything is just as it should be!"and thís is a wig, of course ;D

Noel Redding from the Hendrix Experience had his hearing saved by nature! "I don't wear ear plugs, never have. I had an ear test about twenty years ago and was told they were perfect. I then had my ears syringed and found there was a lot of wax build up which probably saved my ears. If I'm playing really loud I get a bit of a ting here and there, that's all". img78.photobucket.com/albums/v260/pict4/197e59f2.jpg [/img] (and that isn't a wig!)

I recall that Pete once remarked that both John Entwistle's and Steven Stills hearing was significantly worse than his. I think he said this after the 2000 tour. I'm sure there are plenty of rockers who have hearing problems.

Didn't Felix Pappalardi, producer extraordinaire, and bass player for the original Mountain, also have extreme hearing loss? And he died relatively young as well.
