Was just listening to Quentin Tarantino talking to Charlie Rose about how biopics is his least favourite genre. He said that if he would do a biopic, he would make it occur in ONE day. Like a movie about Elvis would only be about the day he steps in to Sun Records. Wouldn't that perhaps be a better format for this Keith-flick? It would certainly be different. With that in mind, what day of his life would you personally like to see? i enjoy tarantino's movies, but he's a bit of a one trick pony... all characters in his movies are different shades of the same colour.... the dialog in kill bill was especially awful... gotta say there are some great bio movies out there schindler's list, the aviator,jfk...etc most movies follow a central character's arc, so the only difference is fiction vs non-fiction

Just watched "invictus". For anyone who doubts bio movies and the fact that stories can focus on one angle, check it out

Dario Franchitti. In some angles this guy looks kinda like Keith, and he also shares a love for cars...

he does look similar alright.... but the physical appearance is probably low on the priority list for this film.... needs a good director, actor and script

If this film gets made I will disown the band. Nobody with half a brain wants a film about 'rock stars'. We dont need to increase The Whos reputation. The records and boots say everything that needs to be said.

Yellow Printer.
Absolutely right, although, I'd not go as far as to disown the band. Roger, perhaps, given that he has been consistently taking poor advice from whoever it is that's telling him this is a good idea to progress.
Having said that though, perhaps Roger's advisers KNOW it's not ever likely to happen and are telling him this so that it keeps him interested.

Roger only talks up this film in interviews cos he has nothing else to say. Hes like a dog with a bone. Like a lot of the people on this thread. RIP Keith!

Why would you not want to see this made? It atleast be interesting to see, it can't do any harm!

^sure it can, it can do plenty of harm, especially when added to the recent greatest hits tours and endless repackaging of the same f***ng material in an unending supply of greatest hits packages
Most people I talk to in daily life think The Who are a joke (especially after the dreadful Super Bowl set), which is so sad...if only they could listen/see them in action 1964-1978 to see the really story

This thread is a cancerous carbuncle that should be nuked into oblivion. For f**ks sake! Its a f***ng joke of an idea and has NOTHING to do with the mans' musical talent,so therefore has no merit.

Well we clearly move in different circles, as I heard nothing but derision and negativity from people both online and in person about it...I even got slagged for being a huge Who fan because friends of mine who saw it said it was sh** (and I agree, it was)

I can't believe that anyone actually comments on this cr*p. There never is going to be a f***ng stupid movie made about Moon, and Daltrey should shut the f*** up about it, because he is proving that he doesn't know what he is talking about when he keeps rambling on about this nonsense. Nobody wants to see a movie about Moon, and nobody should try to make one either. It would be useless and unrealistic and unwatchable. Daltrey is getting older, and should keep his mind on staying healthy instead of dreaming about another Who tour and record making and stupid movie making. The use of the Who for anything is well past the due date, so lay it to rest and stop commenting on something as mundane as this. Unless you all are televison viewing audiences and all own a blackberry and a cell phone with five hundred useless uses, which I then can understand why you all are still chatting about this useless topic. Nuff said.

So (aside from the irony of you perpetuating conversations on topics that,in your opinion, are dead horses) when does any band or musician become irrelevant?I still see The Beatles, the Stones or (and very relevant today) Elvis Presley still being promoted - none of them has done jack in a year or 30 yet still, here they are.
