I hope I'm wrong but it sounds like Roger's voice is autotuned during Baba...it's too pitch-perfect... I'm sure Rog appreciates the compliment. lol autotune?

Jimana does do a lot of bitching! But unfortunately, also talks a lot of sense. Many will find the truth hard to take , and I am one of them, but there is nothing new or inventive and there hasn't been for a long time

Is it the high note on "fight" that's throwing you? If so, it's pretty easy to explain. He slips into falsetto for it. If they used Autotune to get his voice to hit that note, it would sound VERY obvious. He'd sound robotic. For the rest of the performance, he seems to be singing as well as he has in the last few years.

Autotune sounded robotic in 1996, now it's pretty hard to spot (unless it's meant to be heard as in some music styles). Anyway it doesn't sound natural to me in this video. I'll check out the new concerts to see if there's anything unusual.

The only difference in the video posted is the high note in Baba, which he uses a new trick/technique to hit. You can hear the timbre of his voice change. If Autotune were responsible, it wouldn't sound that way.

Anyway I don't mean he's been singing out of tune these past years but I've been used to hear him going a bit up and down around those notes. Here he just hits the note perfectly then the next one then the next one... I don't want to draw any definitive conclusion but I'm a bit curious about what happened and will be listening to the next live performances he gives.

(...) i think that i do know what you're talking about. two years ago, i attended at one-off concert of my favorite ex-Yugoslav band who were local stars in the seventies. in december 2012, they did it with a bunch of computers, pre-recorded tapes, and that female vocal accompaniment that you "can't heard". in that way, an old singer sounded very very nice and, as he "reached" a high note as well , i got that fantastic impression that i listening to him live as i did almost four decades ago as a little kid as well. a great miracle of hi-tech indeed. for these ears it sounds far better, and it is much more dignified for these "wheelchair rockers" who're still in biz, than when they're awfully singing songs that were made decades ago - for some "other", young singer(s)....

Not about Zak, but here's a clip of Scott Devours playing Who Are You in a soundcheck during Quad-tour. Very impressive!
