Aaaaaaaaaaaaand so we crawl gradually into 2015 with this fifth round of "The BIG Who Poll", a poll so big it now spans two years. I've just realised we somehow managed to leap over A Quick One. Apologies for that, so belatedly A Quick One it is. And your favourite two tracks are....? As always, the rules; You are allowed 2 votes per album. You may change or retract your votes at any time until the poll locks. Each poll will be active for 7 days, after which it will automatically lock and the next poll will commence. The Small PrintThe poll contenders will be taken from the tracklists of the current CD releases of the band's studio output. Polls for "Deluxe" editions will be split into two parts, the first for the original album and the second for the bonus tracks. For the sake of simplicity there will be no differentiation between mono and stereo mixes unless the track is an alternate take. Deadlocked tracks will each be taken as a valid result under their individual position within the poll. Once we have worked our way through the entire Who studio album catalogue there will be a poll taken from the remaining non-album singles, B-sides and oddities etc. The top 3 selections from each poll will then be placed into a poll of their own. From that selection a final vote will be cast to decide the 10 favourites, the top ten Who tracks.

Interesting to see Whiskey Man beating (at least so far) Boris and A Quick One. I thought I'd be in minority with that opinion. I love A Quick One (pun intended ), but to me the studio version is quite pale and lacking very much of the energy of live takes.

I have to agree. The first time I heard A Quick One it was the live performance from the Rock and Roll Circus. When eventually I heard the studio take I found myself supremely unimpressed......to steal a political metaphor, it was in comparison like being savaged by a dead sheep.
Im quite happy that Whiskey Man is doing so well. From the very first time I heard the album I considered that a standout track.

I never listen to this album... Don't think it ever did anything for me
The few songs on it I like I tend to listen to from various compilations

Same here, this is the Who album I Listen to the least. To my ears it holds so few tunes of interest that it's not worthwhile playing.
On the other hand, I do love the front cover.

A Quick One suffers from letting Roger and Keith write songs.! Also the inclusion of Heatwave because they had nothing else is lazy . Imagine if Circles and Disguises were there instead of Heatwave, See My Way and Cobwebs. It would be up there with Revolver or The Small Faces 2nd lp.
