Moving ever onwards with our BIG Who poll, it's time for Quadrophenia. As a double-album this poll will be split into two sections.
I'm including I Am The Sea as a "song" purely because the last time we did a poll of this type someone complained of its exclusion.....although I'll be surprised if it attracts any interest this time around, unless that same person votes the same way again!
As always, the rules;
You are allowed 2 votes per album.
You may change or retract your votes at any time until the poll locks.
Each poll will be active for 7 days, after which it will automatically lock and the next poll will commence.
The Small Print
The poll contenders will be taken from the tracklists of the current CD releases of the band's studio output.
Polls for "Deluxe" editions will be split into two parts, the first for the original album and the second for the bonus tracks.
For the sake of simplicity there will be no differentiation between mono and stereo mixes unless the track is an alternate take.
Deadlocked tracks will each be taken as a valid result under their individual position within the poll.
Once we have worked our way through the entire Who studio album catalogue there will be a poll taken from the remaining non-album singles, B-sides and oddities etc.
The top 3 selections from each poll will then be placed into a poll of their own. From that selection a final vote will be cast to decide the 10 favourites, the top ten Who tracks.

Now this one's impossible (the 2nd disc will be even harder, despite having fewer songs). Went with Dirty Jobs and I've Had Enough but Quad is pure gold. Pete at his best in terms of songwriting and the whole band at their peak.

Difficult choice, but I went with "The Dirty Jobs" and "Is It In My Head?" - great lyrics!

Initially, and without giving it any consideration, I considered this poll to present a simple choice. Then I viewed the setlist judgementally and realised this is probably the hardest Who album from which to select a "top two".
There is so much seriously high quality material spread across Quadrophenia that I would argue had it been trimmed down for release as a single album it would long ago have been deemed THE Who album to own.

The Real Me & The Punk And The Godfather are the best tracks at disc one without a question....
