Rollie - must've been between 1967 and 1969. Sometime after PT was "keeping Moonie company, so had to drop some bad stuff" on a long flight, he watched his plane flying above as he floated in the water.... spooky stuff, and also as an input to Tommy but especially to Who's Next/ Life House. but definitely before 1972, cos thats when Who Came First was released, which is all lovely hippy Pete and prayers, on the cover he's standing on eggs to demonstrate his faith. The stones were into it (indian mystics) too - Brian Jones was most affected I believe, but it was so common it was only tv news for the beatles. Just because he's a Street guy with a bit of a temper, doesn't stop him having a nice spiritual and mystical side. Didn't you notice him being very helpful to all he met on Royal Albert Hall (err, 2002?) DVD's, especially nervous mr Weller, a sometimes stroppy chap himself. ( PW likes his privacy off stage, I can state from 2 brief experiences, but that's his right too ) Being famous really is not a bowl of cherries, plenty have died of stardom. Pete's a well rounded human being - most of the time we are just shown Performance or Stress, both being what's interesting to the media spotlight - Man bites dog is news, Man sails boat ain't.

Hrundi V Bakshi teaches that the key to meditation is being able to think about the same idea over and over again

Baba actually chose Pete, and not the other way round as with most gurus.
Baba was shown a picture of The Who in the mid sixties and was said to of put his thumb over Pete,s face. At this time he was silent, but his followers took this gesture as spiritually significant.
Pinball Wizard was released on the day of Baba,s funeral.

The thing about baba is that he's the real thing. He didn't try to take advantage of pete's fame, unlike the beatles' guru! and of course, his writings and such are very interesting.
