Bumped into Paul Townshend today. Have spoke to him a few times over the last few weeks. He said Simon had got back from holiday after the tour yesteday (didnt mention Pete) and claimed that he has finished producing 3 NEW tracks which were recorded before they went on tour. He seemed very optimistic about the future and said he wouldnt be surprised if they would play in London again before the end of the year!

Wow, great news!
Hopefully they get back in there again pretty soon and do some more.
How do you know him?

From sightings posts on other lists, it appears Pete and Rachel stopped over in NYC for a party to launch her new cd. No word on what Roger is doing.

This is interesting....Not long after the UK leg of the tour finished I bumped into a friend in a Dorking (Surrey) pub who was with a session drummer friend of his called Rupert. Both of these guys are 30 and into dance music and don't even like rock, never mind having an inkling that a new Who album may be in the working. But Rupert said they were off to a studio the following day to watch The Who recording their new album. It was only then that I expressed my enthusiasm for the band. I asked to tag along but Rupert said he'd be lucky to get one other person in the studio, never mind two, so I didn't get the chance to go. Both these guys ended up clubbing in London that night and were so wasted they didn't go to the studio the next day so I had no way of validating the story. As such I never posted the information....but maybe it was true.
