As someone already said in this thread, you obviously don't like anything about the current version of the band. But of course there is, you haven read my posts haven't you...

Or just listen to the old boots that you actually do like or some random track that no one else would ever care about like Hall of the Mountain King and enjoy yourself. Now that would be an incredible opener!

Oh yes, we've all read your posts. Bitching about Pete's guitar rig, Pino's playing and Roger's voice etc.
Take consolation that this isn't 'the Who' you're talking about. It's 'Who2.' So you don't even have to listen to them...
I don't believe in behaving like a unthinking fanatic, but I don't like whiney cusses, either.

And actually, Billy Bill I like "In the Hall of the Mountain King". It kind of presaged Yngwie Malmsteen and all his mixing of classical music and electric guitar. Pete obviously doesn't play like him.
I'm not sure if it was right for The Who Sell Out, but it could've spruced-up A Quick One quite a bit.

i wonder how pino is gonna sound on these new who recordings, cause he's not exactly copyin somethin that John has already played... or maybe he will try and mimic something john-esque? Anyway it will be interesting to see how he plays this time round with the band

I can bet it is probably Petes' doing, but can we get Pino to PLAY LOUDER this time around!!! ?? He needs to be turned up. No, he is not my first choice either, but he is very competent.

Let's be honest he's nobody's first choice. The first choice is buried in an English cemetery and I doubt he'll make it out for the tour.

I wasn't talking about chords and Pino only bass player, now there's freaking biggest joke in the world... he sounds bad.. Surely you realise that There's nothing Roger can do to 'worked his voice back to something like it used to be.' Obviously you weren't talking about chord changes, and you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. If you looked into Pino a little, you'd realize that he's one of the most versatile bassists in the world. He was smoking through Entwistle's basslines on the Boston DVD, stuff that most bassists couldn't fathom. And no, I don't know that Daltrey's voice couldn't be repaired. Being a music teacher, I understand the intricacies of voice lessons and training. Roger has abused his voice for years, as most rock singers have. However, it would do wonders for him to work with a trainer(which I have a difficult time imagining that he doesn't) in order to optimize his vocals. I would fathom a guess that he's going to come back with stronger vocals than recent years.

Check the rehearsal videos. The bass sounds pretty loud. Hope they mix it that way for the tour, too.
