Any word on the possibility of any?
I'm hearing STRONG rumours of a gig at the UEA in Norwich....I live here and apparently there are talks about a gig on the 18th June??? I know it seems unlikely, but you never know......

I hope there are some warm up shows. The ones at the Forum in 2004 were excellent with a great atmosphere. If we get some this time I would expect them to be in London again.

Yes, that's what I'm waiting for. I hate the big festivals where the band's just over a mile away from you're stood and the whole place stinks of pee. The only way I'd go to something like Glastonbury would be if I was staying in a 5* hotel down the road! Tool old for all that staying in tents stuff.
But warm-up gigs? I'm there!!

Pete just mentioned on "in the attic" that "the warm up shows would be 10th 12th June".

Tea in the Park is hardly a 'big' festival. I believe they're playing more small venues like this, to boot. The labale 'folk festival' conjures up the idea of an intimate atmosphere to me.

I've been to Hyde Park and to Finsbury Park in the past. One large, one smallish. Hated both.

I suspect they will probably play a couple of warm-up gigs towards the end of June. Maybe somewhere like Norwich or Wolverhampton and Leeds "put that cigarette out" University

outside Glastonbury tennents in the park is Britain's biggest festival! i do agree what you say about standing a mile away from the stage, however at balado the main stage is at the bottom of a slight slope which gives a good view, but hey are the who not thee band to see at at a festival if your brave enough you can always get to the front by getting in place early as thats what i plan to do. i want to hear the power and see the visual spectacle of the oo in full flow in the setting of an amazing backdrop of good Scottish scenery and take in the unique atmosphere of a outdoor gig. by the way t in the park has been voted the best British festival for 2005 by the bands and fans alike, just goes to prove the biggest isn't always best!! 70,00 per day is probably the right size for this site but i hear the organizers what to up the capacity year on year,i Hope not as it will then become the over-sized diluted mess that Glastonbury is! then again depends what you go to a festival for. t in the park for quality sound and vision or Glastonbury for a weekend of socializing!! each to their own

Well I suppose it's relative. I mean if we're talking about Woodstock here, it's comparatively small.

This is slightly OT but re. bigbod`s post.
I missed out in getting T tickets.
Gladly I`m now off to Liverpool for the two gigs there. As it is seated (well until the Who come on!) I`m guaranteed to be 10 rows from the front without all the hassle of a festival gig.
When I went to gig in Parkhead in 76 I had a great view of all the acts until SAHB came onwhen his fans pushed in and resulted in a very bad atmosphere. Can`t be bothered with all that cr*p nowadays.
I`m sure you will enjoy T (despite reports that Weller is headlining on another stage at the same time the Who are on!) but I`m glad to be going to a more intimate (well 4,500 people) pair of gigs.
We can all get the DVDs anyway!
