does anyone have a list of the opening acts for the announced dates (or beyond)? if so it would make a great post to compliment the confirmed Tour Dates listing.

Well, I think Simon T. and the Casbah club are booked for some of the dates, regardless.

Simon and CC are definitely in for at least 3 of the Europe shows (and the USA) but what about the other shows? If anyone has the inside scoop on exactly who the openers will be please post it for all to see.

okay to be serious this time (not that I was joking entirely in my original response) I like what the Kinks used to do when they toured the US (I can't say as I know what they did anywhere else) - they would have a local band be their opening act in each city.
I saw them twice in Nashville - each time they had a popular local band open the show. It was a great idea and the crowd really enjoyed it.

I would imagine just the Casbah Club as these gigs are indoor non-festival type shows.
