I was just doing a search to find some Who song lyrics and I came to www.the-who.net. As I was looking through the list there was a song "Teenage Wasteland", in addition to "Baba O'Reilly". It had some of the same lyrics, but added verses. Something about turnips I believe. I never heard a song by that name, and usually snickered at the ignoramus who used the wrong title for BO. Is this really a Who song? Is it some sort of unreleased lost version? I was hoping someone could shed some light on this. JK

It's a Lifehouse song, I don't know if The Who ever attempted it but Pete's demo is on the Lifehouse Chronicles box set. I like it. He also did it at the Sadlers Wells show, which is probably still playing on WhoTV

The only thing I can recall about that song, after seeing it performed at Sadler's Wells, is that line "Don't tread on the turnips!".
