YouTube could almost be called WhoTube because of the Who gems you can find on there. I thought a thread in which we point out our favorite Who clips would be a good idea, so I'll start off with some of my favorites: This is what I like to call Who comedy theatre:www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aPj2iWqnE8Musically it's not much, but the fun Pete and Rog are having is infectious. Pete seems to be referring to the reason why he sang A Legal Matter in the first place, and Roger still doesn't want to sing it. How Can You Do It Alone '79:www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-EikGbgx1k&feature=PlayList&p=318F1107330FE292&index=10A great later Who jam, the one we know from the Face Dances reissue, but now live, uncut and unpolished. It's the true end of the gig and Kenney almost seems to collapse at the end. Poor Rog tends to get lost in the musical violence of the other three, until he finds something else to do with his time. Another Tricky Day Rockpalast '81:www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmbHNtUOI_A&feature=PlayList&p=318F1107330FE292&index=3The band's last gig before Pete went into rehab. A spirited rendition of a song that isn't considered a classic by most (including me). You couldn't tell it by the passion with which the play it. Jamming on such a new song: wow. Paris '72:www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRpuLnfTnHIRoger shows why he's the embodiment of '70s Who. Won't Get Fooled Again indeed. The band then rip up the place with typical ease. The Who in the early seventies is one of the biggest concentrations of pure energy I've seen. Truly awe-inspiring.

Okay, I know it's not completely on topic, but does anyone have the video of Townshend performing Drowned at the Secret Policeman's Ball? It used to be on YouTube until they upgraded their site, and now it's no longer there. I'd love to see it again.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfDE-ZvfOwU(You've probably all already seen this anyway) Isolated audio track of Entwistle playing Won't Get Fooled Again... an amazing performance. Look out for: - Roger walking into the shot at 3:40 - The laser show from 7:00 to 8:00 (if you thought it was creepy with the synth, try with no sound at all!) - Pete "flying out of nowhere" at 8:05 And... random girl jumping onstage to give Roger a hug at 9:30! Grrrrrrrrrr!

There's so many good Who videos on Youtube, but my possible favorite may have to be their absolutely scorching live performance of "Heaven and Hell" at Tanglewood. youtube.com/watch?v=Za1DWb3dTNo

John Entwistle - "My Wife" live in Yokohama 1990CLICKFeaturing Keith Emerson, Jeff Baxter, Simon Philips and Joe Walsh. Great vocal performance by John! It shows that he didn't need Roger to sing along. It also shows how much can change in ten years. I really am impressed by his hitting the high notes in that video, but in the RAH recording, you can listen to John's voice and hear why he needs Roger for those notes. It doesn't sound particularly good, of course, but it is most amusing to listen to John do a low harmony for Roger.

Why? Or more importantly... why? Roger had an allergic reaction to a fan's smoke during You Better You Bet and had to leave the stage.
